After being discovered in the act of trying to expose the infant, a shamed Treasurer Ji effectively adopts her. It follows the exploits of Ok-Nyeo (Jin Se-yeon), a young lady who was born at a prison by a mother who then dies of a stab wound. The Flower in Prison ( 옥중화 in Korean) is a historical drama set in the time of the Joseon dynasty in Korea. I have for many years had friends who were advising me at all costs to give Korean dramas a go, but I didn’t pay attention … until now. I mentioned items such as Cobra Kai, The Expanse and the first season of Dexter as examples (and of course the reboot of Battlestar Galactica, but how about one from left field? I’ve recently been watching a Korean historical drama that has elements enough in it to keep the interest and make you want to see the next episode at all costs. I mentioned before that there few things that are on television that truly entertain me any more.
